NX1 is a rare find these days. A steadfast stronghold at the forefront of modern and uncompromising techno. For more than a decade the duo from Barcelona has crafted and continuously refined an inimitable signature sound both within NX1 and their side-projects Surit and Samot. While not necessarily somber, there is an awe-inspiring vibe arising from the overwhelming physicality, essentially culminating in sophisticated breaks and crescendos in each of their tracks. Albeit NX1 carries the essence of rave euphoria you won’t find even the slightest hint of cheesiness. And even though their live and DJ sets certainly incorporate the essential knowledge of traditional techno the duo doesn’t fall back into refurbished conservatism but oscillates between raw rhythms and psychedelic moments. The duo has firmly established itself with releases on renowned labels such as Phase Fatale’s „BITE", Sunil Sharpe’s „Earwiggle", Terence Fixmer’s "Planete Rouge" or Bas Moy’s „MORD“ and on their own imprints NX1 and Nexe Rec. which received their preliminary highlight with last year's masterpiece - the album „What You Should Know About Yourself”
