Bodegas Menade was founded in 2005, but Alejandra, Marco and Richard are the sixth generation of a longstanding wine family devoted to wine since 1820. It is a family run vineyard pre-phylloxera, over 100 years old, based a kilometer away from the town of Rueda.

They put nature at the heart of what they do and produce some amazing natural and organic wines. All grapes are certified organic and only natural yeasts are used.

Menade’s by-line is ‘Made by Nature’. Their philosophy is grounded in nature, and respect for the vineyards and terroir. Wines without makeup, with personality and authenticity.
Starting with natural methods in the vineyard, they substitute chemical treatments for what they call their “Great insect hotel” or pollination garden; where 40 native species co-exist to improve and increase the area’s biodiversity.

They strategically plant herb and flower gardens near the vines to encourage pollination.

They also pioneered the introduction of “mobile trees” which are transported around the 195-hectare estate on small trailers to attract insects and birds living in the vineyards.

Nosso
Local old timers say that “this tastes like Verdejo used to be”
NOSSO, the flagship wine from Bodegas Menade, has all the aromas of the first day of harvest and of wet earth; it recalls the smell of dew in the early dawn and takes us back to childhood. There’s honey too and overtones of fresh grape juice.
The Verdejo grapes are taken from their parcels grown on stony clay and limestone soils. Hand picked and fermented with their natural yeasts with 3 months spent on it's lees. No sulphur is added.
The result is a well rounded, complex white that has pronounced honeyed and floral notes with an underlying savoury, bready taste from the lees aging. Amazingly long finish as well.

THE SAUVIGNON BLANC is a fresh and exotic wine that offers aromas of stone fruits, with tropical and citrus notes and agreeable notes of fresh herbs, complemented by nice acidity. Mineral, mint, mandarin and fresh basil touches. On the palate it is fruity and tropical, with herbal touches.
In this wine you will find a perfect companion to harmonise with friends, sunsets, vegetables, salads and barbecues. A delightful wine that is ever so easy to drink.

Clandestino
CLANDESTINO TINTO is a young wine made with grapes from very old Tempranillo vines located in Toro. A fresh, natural and fruity red wine, with no additives, which helps maintain the natural properties of the grape.
When we say that it’s a young wine, this is because it undergoes no barrel ageing; the whole process of development is carried out in stainless steel vats. What’s more, it’s a natural wine, like Nosso, so to maintain its microbiological stability we allow malolactic fermentation to occur spontaneously.
It is an intense red wine with the presence of berries, spicy notes and a background of undergrowth. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and full-bodied, rounded with balance and refined tannins.
We recommend drinking it chilled!
Clandestino Tinto是一款年轻的葡萄酒，采用位于托罗的非常古老的丹魄葡萄树上的葡萄酿造而成。这是一款清新、自然、果味浓郁的红葡萄酒，不含任何添加剂，有助于保持葡萄的自然属性。
当我们说这是一款年轻的葡萄酒时，这是因为它没有经过橡木桶陈酿，整个发展过程是在不锈钢大桶中进行的。此外，它和Nosso一样，是一种天然的葡萄酒，所以为了保持其微生物的稳定性，我们允许苹果酸乳酸发酵自发进行。
