本周六，POTENT 将与 Martell 联动，邀请到当今 Techno 领域最令人兴奋的名字之一 Volvox 一同呈现高能量之夜。作为布鲁克林地下音乐场景中的主导力量，自2006年以来 Volvox 便一直忙碌于世界各地知名俱乐部的舞台之上，与 Ben Klock, Ellen Allien, The Blessed Madonna, Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Amelie Lens 和 FJAAK 等艺术家同台之余，她亦是柏林传奇俱乐部 Berghain 的常客，数次受邀为其跨年派对与闻名遐迩的 Snax 派对系列进行演出。

Getting her early influences from the industrial / EBM scene in Buffalo, New York and Boston, the Brazilian born Brooklyn resident has been a DJ and event organizer for more than a decade. She’s currently a resident at NYC’s queer-leaning extravaganza Unter, as well as her own Jack Dept. parties, the latter of which has naturally developed into a label. In the passed years she has become an internationally on demand act having toured Australia, Asia, South America and Europe, which has become her second home with repeated appearances at notable venues like Berghain, De School, Blitz to name a few, as well as in the known festival circuit.

She’s loved for tough, stripped-back techno and groovy, acid-flavored sets, which she most identifies with. Nevertheless, she has an eclectic side for the right occasion. Volvox brings high energy onto dance floors and her individual character guarantees a great vibe at her shows.

回溯 Volvox 音乐生涯的起始，从巴西移居至美国后，她便受到布法罗、纽约和波士顿工业/EBM 场景的洗礼成为暗黑色调中跃动的舞者，并逐日发展成 DJ 及派对发起人。“我来自舞池。或许这就是为什么我非常了解舞池体验的变化，我能够根据人群想要听到或感受的东西来编排我的 set。” Volvox 在采访中说道。

Volvox 与 John Barera 创立的 Jack Dept. 派对系列还被称之为推动 Bossa Nova Civic Club 在纽约崛起的关键之一。在 Jack Dept. 如火如荼进行的同时，Volvox 亦是纽约酷儿派对 Unter（被媒体誉为纽约最杰出的酷儿派对）与 Bound 的核心人物及先锋女性团体 Discwoman 的合作 DJ，以酷儿社群忠实拥护者的身份在本土场景中构建属于自己的“安全屋”，并稳步推动着 techno 音乐的迈向更强劲的边界。
