起源 / The origins

最早记载于1567年，是对来自意大利港口城市热那亚（Genoa）的商船水手所穿的裤子的称谓，即“Genoese”。並根据发音演变成“Jeans”。从19世纪60年代开始这个名稱被Levi's采用。在此之前人们把它称之为“齐腰工装裤”（Waist High Over all）、“裤子”（Pantaloons）。

The earliest record of denims was in 1567, "Genoese" is the title of sailors, who, from the Italy port city Genoa, wearing this type of pants. The pronunciation soon evloved into "Jeans", which adopted by Levi's since 1860s. Before that, it was commonly known as the "waist high over all" and "pantaloons".

The film and television entertainment industry of Hollywood played a big role in promoting the international trend of denims. During the 1950s of famous films such as "Rebel without a cause", "East of Eden", the protagonists wore comfortable jeans on the films. Under the influence of big stars, denims had started to become a symbol of fashion. In 1960s and 70s, the impact and influence of rock and roll and popular Hippie lifestyle on young people, make jeans are more popular than ever before.

百搭风格/ Matching All Styles

此处不多说关于如何搭配牛仔裤的方法，只分享一些些有用的建议与图片。因為搭配是永遠說不完的。有听过一个说法是〝想了解潮流与搭配，多看点流行杂志，学习模特搭配的色彩与服装。久而久之自然练出眼力与美感。〞

洗或不洗，这是个问题 /

To wash or not to wash, it is a question.

牛仔裤主要是由面料、版型、车工、洗水、辅料等几个方面组成的。若希望新买的牛仔裤不退色，可先浸在浓盐水中（盐水只要尝起咸咸的就可以了），过一天再用手揉搓，不要用机洗。平时在洗涤时，将里侧翻出来，或将牛仔裤折好，放入洗衣袋里或用手洗。

Denims are mainly composed by fabric, pattern, sewing, washing and accessories etc... To prevent colour runs in a new pair of jeans, we first soak it in brine (salt water as long as taste salty), hand rub after one day, do not use washing machine. If you want to use washing machine, rolls the jeans out or folded it over then put it into the laundry bag or hand wash is fine.

基本洗涤方法有以下几種--

A、深色牛仔裤第一次下水前先用白醋+水（比例1：20）或用盐水浸泡约 20～30 分钟比较能保持原色。

B、深色与浅色衣物分开洗：混在一起会造成颜色互染。

C、不能使用漂白剂。用不加酶带蓝颗料粒的洗衣粉洗涤為佳，因为加酶的洗衣粉有漂白作用，对牛仔裤的颜色有影响。

D、避免阳光直接暴晒。

E、晾晒于通风处。

F、应用手搓洗牛仔裤，尽量不用洗衣机和毛刷，这样可以有效保持牛仔裤的原色。

The following are some basic washing methods--

A. Before hitting the water, dark jeans need to use white vinegar and water (the ratio is 1:20) or use saline soak about 20 ~ 30 minutes to keep the primary colors.

B. Separate dark and light colored clothing. Mixed together will cause the color of each dye.

C. Do not use bleach. The washing powder with the blue granules of the non enzyme belt is better, because the washing powder with enzyme has the effect of bleaching, and has an effect on the color of the jeans.

D. Avoid direct sun exposure.

E. Put the jeans on ventilated place.

F. Hand wash jeans if possible, try not to use the washing machine and brush, which can effectively maintain the primary colors of jeans.

基本保养方法有几種--

A、深色牛仔裤约穿3～5次或一周清洗一次即可。

B、浅色系牛仔褲视赃污情形而定。

There are several basic maintenance methods--

A. Wash the dark jeans only about 3 to 5 times or a week.

B, Wash the light colored jeans as the case may be different.

最后是一些小技巧：对于Unwashed的原色牛仔裤，第一次洗后可以在将干未干时穿上可以更快的产生纹路；对于已经脱浆的牛仔裤，可以简单的用些生粉加水后喷在牛仔裤的表面重新使牛仔裤变硬。

在牛仔裤放到洗衣机里洗涤之前，最好先将拉鍊拉好，以免拉鍊洗到最后变形不好穿。

Finally some small tips: for unwashed primary color jeans, the lines will come up faster if you wear it on nearly dry condition for the first time after washing; for desizing jeans, we simply can use flour and water to spray on the surface of jeans to make it harden.

Finally, before you put the jeans into washing machine, the best way is zip it up, in order to avoid the deformation of zipper.
