SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK RECAP 

During Shanghai Fashion Week, RJ Clothing took the opportunity to showcase some of the most stylish gents in Shanghai. Kate Wood had the honour to partner up with them and dressed the gentlemen with our wooden accessories. 

RJ Clothing is an International Irish company focusing on the premium production of Made-to-Measure menswear garments and accessories.

All garments are ordered, cut, sewn and finished in their modern workshop, based out of downtown Shanghai, China. They use automated and cloud computing technology for measuring, ordering, cutting and delivery. All orders intuitively happening on their iPad APP, with a very high user experience.

Besides tailored suiting items, RJ Clothing offers a wide range of casual items. Their highly skilled tailors can communicate in both Chinese and English.

Here, Michael can be seen sporting a sharp 3-piece charcoal suit using RUYI Shandong cloth. Opting for a classic look, the addition of the vest creates a powerful conservative feel. For gents looking for a more casual appearance, change of the vest cloth into a different colour or pattern would be a great way to create a varied look.

The pinstripe suit has been the unofficial uniform of bankers since the 1980s, where banks each had their own stripe, varying in shade and weight, that identified who worked for which bank. It wasn't until 2008 when bankers destroyed everyone else's life savings that the demand for power suits took a detour. No one wanted an outfit that telegraphed your responsibility for the worst financial crisis in living memory. However, over in recent times, the pinstripe has seen a big comeback. Here you can see Andre in a classical navy pinstripe cut from Super 120 cloth from Italy's Vitale Barberis Canonico. Paired with a light blue shirt, bringing the old classical banker's look into the 21st century.

As its name implies, a peaked lapel comes to a "peak" at the lapel edge, pointing outwards. A wide-cut lapel will emphasise the torso and shoulders, creating more of a V-shape that broadens the top half and narrows the bottom of the jacket, even if that is no more than an illusion. The tricks of a good tailor are myriad, and the sharpest use the lapels on a jacket to extend the frame. Matt went for 3.5" ultra wide lapels on his single-breasted navy and dark red check Huddersfield tweed blazer, allowing for a stronger and sharper look.

A crazy blazer can add a unique touch to your wardrobe, but it can also be tricky to navigate! From tones that complement your skin tone to the difficulty of pairing with already owned pants. Today's contemporary fashion is all about owning your personality and having some fun with your clothing. Casual blazers like the one Andrew is wearing here made of premium cloth from Holland and Sherry can do just that. Andrew has used a light blue shirt to break up the bold appearance of the blazer. Leave out the tie for a more laid back appearance.

Blazers are such versatile item to have in your wardrobe, and a perfect addition to almost any outfit to pull the look together. The fit, colour, and material will have an impact on its formality, as will the pants, shoes and accessories you choose to pair them with it. 

Jeans are a classic combination that's perfect for achieving a stylish, smart look suitable for dinners, dates or casual Fridays at the office. Essentially, any occasion that requires more finesse than the conventional t-shirt and jeans combo. Vincent has done so below with his charcoal Italian cut suit from Huddersfield. The white t-shirt and sneakers give a more refined and laidback look, with the subtle check pattern standing to attention.
