'GNV POLARIS’ Delivered

Recently, the MSC/GNV 1,500-passenger/3,100-metre-lane luxury Ropax ‘GNV POLARIS’, which was built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Company Limited(GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) for GNV, a passenger ferry operator of the Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC), was named and delivered in Nansha , Guangzhou, China.

The ship is the first large-scale export Ropax vessel independently researched, designed and constructed in China, with completely independent intellectual property rights; about 46,000 gross tonnes, with a total of 12 decks, configured with all kinds of passenger cabins of 298; the total length of the lane is about 3,100 metres, configured with advanced and efficient ropax equipments, and it can quickly and efficiently load and unload more than 600 minicabs or 200 trailers with 40-foot standard containers.

Under the design draught and service speed, the use of the fins can achieve more than 85% roll reduction effect. It greatly improves the safety and comfort of passengers during navigation.
