On March 25, Haiyang Shiyou 166, the self-installing platform constructed by the Nantong Base of Wuhu Shipyard, was successfully delivered. Among mobile offshore oil production equipment of the same category in China, this platform boasts the largest size, heaviest weight, most comprehensive functions, highest level of intelligence, and deepest applicable water depth.
For this great power heavy equipment, Shanghai Hunter Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. has provided two sets of independently developed core equipment: the hydraulic pin-type jacking system and the seawater pump lifting device, injecting strong impetus for the platform's efficient and stable operations.
Haiyang Shiyou 166 represents the highest level of system integration and intelligence among domestic offshore engineering equipment of the same category to date. It integrates oil and gas processing, water treatment, export metering, and utility support functions, enabling full-process integrated operations for offshore oilfields. Upon commissioning, it will effectively safeguard national energy security and inject new momentum into the development of China's maritime power initiative.
All core equipment of the platform is independently developed and manufactured domestically. A number of key technical challenges have been overcome, and the platform holds full independent intellectual property rights. Among them, the hydraulic pin-type jacking system and seawater pump lifting device independently developed by Hunter Marine are the core critical equipment that underpins the normal operation of Haiyang Shiyou 166's onboard facilities, as well as the safety and stability of its operations.
During the design and construction of the project, breakthroughs were made in key technologies including large-scale modular structure design and precision control, as well as multi-system collaborative control. The platform realizes intelligent one-button start-stop operation, which significantly improves operational convenience and automation level, and has won high praise from the shipowner and operator.
