Product Introduction

Fin stabilizers are the most effective anti-rolling devices for ships and important equipment for modern ships to ensure safety and reliability. They are installed on both sides of the middle part of the ship's hull. The fin stabilizers, which are of airfoil type, are driven by a hydraulic system to control the fin leaves extending out from both sides of the ship. The fins rotate up and down in opposite directions. Depending on the ship's speed and the rotation of the fins, they generate opposite lift forces to correct the ship's attitude and ensure the safety and comfort of the ship.
When a vessel experiences lateral rolling, the control system receives attitude signals from the gyroscope. After calculating and processing the data, the system transmits control commands to the hydraulic unit and actuator mechanisms. The hydraulic cylinders convert hydraulic energy into operational signals, initiating the anti-rolling fin movement to stabilize the vessel. Once the vessel's motion returns to stable conditions, the control system automatically monitors the vessel's status and will reduce or cease the fin movement to minimize resistance, thereby avoiding interference with the vessel's forward speed and navigation direction.
