HM Wins Bid for 9 Sets of Fin Stabilizers for Grimaldi Group

This batch order for ship fin stabilizers received strong support from China Merchants Industry Group and China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai) Co., Ltd., marking another significant collaboration with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai) Co., Ltd. following the order for 2 sets of fin stabilizers for Finnlines high-end RoPax vessels in 2021.

The new generation of vessels, the Mediterranean Class and Hansa Superstar Class, are the result of the Grimaldi Group's in-depth research into customer needs, reflecting the development demands of the shipping industry. The shipping industry must rely on the sustainability of quality, efficiency, and environmental protection to maintain its position as a key mode of global passenger and cargo transport. These vessels demonstrate excellent performance in CO2 emission reduction, can use methanol as an alternative fuel, and will help the Grimaldi Group move closer to its global net-zero emission goals, further consolidating its leading position in the short-sea shipping sectors of the Mediterranean and Baltic Sea regions.

In this renewed cooperation, our company has further upgraded the new vessel fin stabilizer system, which possesses completely independent intellectual property rights. Tailored for high-end RoPax vessels according to the whole ship design requirements, it adopts the high-lift flap fishtail fin that has received an excellent patent award, with a single fin area reaching 15.5 m² and 18 m². Under design conditions, activating the stabilization system can achieve a roll reduction effect of up to 85%. This directly improves and enhances navigation safety and passenger comfort, improves liner schedule punctuality, and significantly increases the economic benefits of the liner services.

In recent years, HUNTER MARINE has been moving towards the international market, and gradually gained a firm foothold in the European route, China-Korea route and China-Japan route.In terms of export vessels, the vessels ‘Fantasy’ and ‘Legacy’ of  Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC), ‘Pioneer’ and ‘Liberté’ of P&O, ‘Finncanopus’ and ‘Finnsirius’ of Finnlines, and France CPTM ‘Aranoa’, and other ships, a total of more than ten sets of installation use.In terms of domestic ropax vessels, the installation has been carried out on the ‘Oriental Pearl 8’, ‘East China Pearl 8’, ‘New Shijima Pearl’, ‘Gunsan Pearl’, ‘New Yonghua Pearl’, 'Harmonious Yungang','China Renaissance','Bohai Sea Pearl' (series of vessels) total of 90 sets of ropaxes have been installed for use.
