Delivery of the "Future" Equipped
with HM Fin Stabilizer
On July 23, China's independently developed deep-sea green and intelligent technology test vessel "Future" was named and delivered in Wuxi, Jiangsu. After being put into operation, the "Future" will fill the gap in China's special pilot test platform for green and intelligent equipment systems, becoming a core infrastructure for the green and intelligent transformation of China's shipbuilding industry.
The "Future" is a brand-new high-tech vessel with a subversive design concept, serving as a "mobile maritime laboratory". The construction of the vessel started in October 2023, it was launched in May 2024, and delivered in July 2025. With an overall length of 110.8 meters, a molded width of 20 meters, and a full load displacement of 7,000 tons, it has a maximum speed of 15 knots, a capacity of 80 people, a range of over 10,000 nautical miles, and unlimited navigation areas. Classified by China Classification Society (CCS), it is mainly used for tasks such as pilot verification of green and intelligent technologies, surface support for deep-sea equipment, and comprehensive marine scientific survey services, thus becoming a core infrastructure for the green and intelligent transformation of China's shipbuilding industry.

As a professional equipment supporting enterprise in the field of marine anti-rolling systems, Hunter Marine has customized a pair of large retractable full-speed fin stabilizers for the vessel, with a single fin area of 11㎡, realizing the actual ship application of domestic full-speed flap fin stabilizers with the largest fin area. Adopting a unique flap fin type with a large tail chord ratio, it effectively solves the problem of difficult roll suppression for large vessels at zero and low speeds. Meanwhile, advanced intelligent control technology is applied, which can intelligently sense and judge the actual sea conditions according to the needs of deep-sea test tasks, adjust and control the wave level, and the effect can be improved by more than 20% under certain sea conditions.

The fin stabilizers developed by Hunter Marine can significantly improve the comfort and safety of vessels, enhance their adaptability to complex sea conditions. The product design concept keeps up with the development strategy of new vessels featuring "green, intelligent, deep-sea, polar, and independent control", providing stable and reliable support for the offshore operations of intelligent vessels and escorting the execution of scientific research tasks.
In recent years, HUNTER MARINE has been moving towards the international market, and gradually gained a firm foothold in the European route, China-Korea route and China-Japan route.In terms of export vessels, the vessels ‘Fantasy’ and ‘Legacy’ of Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC), ‘Pioneer’ and ‘Liberté’ of P&O, ‘Finncanopus’ and ‘Finnsirius’ of Finnlines, and France CPTM ‘Aranoa’, and other ships, a total of more than ten sets of installation use.In terms of domestic ropax vessels, the installation has been carried out on the ‘Oriental Pearl 8’, ‘East China Pearl 8’, ‘New Shijima Pearl’, ‘Gunsan Pearl’, ‘New Yonghua Pearl’, 'Harmonious Yungang','China Renaissance','Bohai Sea Pearl' (series of vessels) total of 90 sets of ropaxes have been installed for use.
