Product Features
When the fins are housed in the fin boxes, the front edge of the fins can cover openings of the fin boxes partially. This design can reduce the drag made by the openings of the fin boxes when the ship is sailing.

Due to its high lift coefficient, the flapped fin can produce 50% more lift force than non-retractable fin with the same area. The lift coefficient of flap fins are 11% higher than fish-tailed fins. While the fish-tail&flap fins are 20% higher than fish-tail fins.
 
Composition

Afterward retractable fin stabilizer is composed of Actuators ,Fins,Fin Boxes,Hydraulic Power Units and Electrical Units etc , adopting modular design,to minimize the shipyard installation work . Fins installed in ship bilge sides . When fin stabilizer works , the fins released from the fin boxes , housed box when not in use . It is afterward retractable fin stabilizer because of the fin folded to the afterward.


 Application

Afterward retractable fin stabilizer is specifically designed for middle and large size ships which with fat bilge.
