
Alberto Orte is a true pioneer on discovering forgotten regions like Sierra de la Demanda (La Rioja) or Gredos (Madrid) and also responsible for the revival of almost extinct grapes like Tintilla de Rota. Like any pioneer he dared to go where no one else dared venture and reaped the rewards from this risk.

With its elegant dining room, high quality imported ingredients, and reasonable prices, F Bistro is a welcome addition to Xiamen's culinary landscape. A spacious atrium, black-and-white photos of France, and chic bar greet guests on the main floor, while a cozier nook upstairs has more of a traditional cafe feel. The French-trained chef presents classics such as beef bourguignon, salad nicoise, and croque monsieur, as well as pasta and steaks that are a treat to the eyes as well as the tongue. The bar boasts Xiamen's largest collection of Belgian beers as well as handmade cocktails and of course French wines.
