In 1995 Alberto Antonini, a well-known Tuscan winemaker, and Antonio Morescalchi, a young entrepreneur, took a trip to visit the burgeoning wine areas of South America. It only took one stop to find what they were looking for. They were immediately impressed by the vineyards thriving in the high altitude and dry climate of Mendoza, and were captivated by the whispered traditions and blend of cultures.

Rafael Cambra's family are at the cutting edge of vineyard nursery development which led him to establish his own cellar in 2001. Vineyards of the winery are placed at the lowest part of sierra L’ombria in Fontanars, inland Valencia. They are planted around almond and olive trees in perfect harmony at 700 mts above the sea. Mediterranean connotations such as cold winter, warm summer and dryness. Annual rainfall is 450mm.

Neil Pike, and his brother, Andrew,  grew up in their father Edgar’s vineyards at Padthaway and Langhorne Creek. Neil in 1980 with a Diploma in Wine Production and Marketing. In1977, Neil worked for Wynns Estate in Coonawarra Valley for a vintage. After that, he decided to study Wine Production and Marketing at Roseworthy College.

Celler del Roure was created in 1995 as a family estate by Pablo Calatayud. Based in the village of Moixent, the property is committed to nurturing and championing the wines and indigenous varietals of the region, most notably the Mandó grape.
