Recently, ZENITH successfully commissioned and delivered a large-scale, high-efficiency 400-ton-per-hour sand washing production line to a leading building materials company in Trinidad and Tobago. Confronted with the growing local demand for high-quality aggregates and manufactured sand, as well as the industry-wide challenge of processing raw materials with high clay content, the client conducted a meticulous global evaluation of equipment technologies. They ultimately chose ZENITH to provide a complete, customized sand washing solution, successfully transforming difficult-to-utilize riverbed resources into high-value commercial products.
Specially engineered for the raw material characteristics, this production line integrates pre-screening, intensive washing, and multi-stage classification to stably produce clean natural sand in multiple specifications including 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm, and 20-25mm.
Feeding & Pre-Washing
● An F5X1345M Heavy-Duty Vibrating Feeder, combined with an S5X2760-2 Vibrating Screen equipped with an integrated spray system, ensures uniform feeding and initial washing of the 0-200mm mixed feedstock during the screening process. This effectively separates oversized debris (25-200mm), reducing the load on downstream equipment.
Core Washing & Grading
● A 2XL-1200 Large Log Washer provides powerful scrubbing to dislodge and separate clay and impurities adhering to the river pebbles. The material is then precisely graded by an S5X2760-3 Vibrating Screen. Its integrated spray system enables secondary rinsing during screening, ensuring thorough cleanliness of the stone material and producing clean aggregates in the required 5-10mm, 10-20mm, and 20-25mm specifications.
Fine Sand Extraction & Purification
● The undersize material containing clay and fines enters the critical processing stage via the 2LSX920 High-Efficiency Sand Washer. It performs deep cleaning and purification, separating clay from the fine sand to effectively recover high-quality 0-5mm fine sand.
Targeted Technical Solution Delivers
Environmental and Economic Wins
Faced with the challenge of complex feedstock characterized by high clay content and a wide particle size distribution, the core advantages of the ZENITH solution are evident:
Dual-Stage Spraying for Multiplied Cleanliness:
The targeted high-intensity washing design ensures that even under high-clay conditions, key quality indicators such as the clay and stone powder content in the finished aggregates and manufactured sand meet high-standard construction material requirements, significantly enhancing product value.
Efficient Circulation for Green Operation:
The specially designed, efficient settling and water circulation system maximizes the reduction of fresh water consumption and wastewater discharge while guaranteeing washing effectiveness, actively supporting environmentally friendly operations.
Stable Operation & Easy Maintenance:
Featuring modular design and wear- and corrosion-resistant treatments, the core washing equipment is easy to maintain and boasts low failure rates. This provides the client with continuous, stable production capacity, effectively reducing long-term operating costs.
ZENITH remains steadfastly committed to providing global clients with forward-looking yet practical industrial solutions. The success of this Trinidad and Tobago project not only empowered the client to transform previously challenging riverbed resources into high-value commercial aggregates and construction sand, achieving green and efficient resource utilization, but also provided solid equipment support for seizing market opportunities and gaining a competitive edge, jointly outlining a new blueprint for sustainable development.
