Every weekend at Shanghai's People's Park, middle-aged parents gather in search of partners for their adult children. This matchmaking corner is known as the "marriage market." Each parent sets out an umbrella with a sheet of paper listing their offspring's attributes - education, height, whether they have residency rights in Shanghai - and what they're looking for in a match.
Sixth Tone collected 874 anonymized ads from People's Park to create a virtual marketplace. Click 'Read Orignial' below to play our mini-game to find out if you're marriage material.
