June 8 saw a big day unfold for Bloodline.

from 13 International and bilingual schools in Shanghai gathered at Hotel Grand Hyatt for the first Bloodline.Y Awarding Ceremony hosted by Bloodline on Sunday, June 8.
The ceremony was held
to recognize the efforts of these schools
and their faculty members and students
in helping Bloodline carry out their noble mission
of saving the lives of those in need of blood.
These schools have also played active parts
in community giveback projects
through the Bloodline platform
and helped in the creation of Bloodline.Y.
此次颁奖典礼隆重举行，旨在表彰这些学校及其师生在助力"血缘"公益组织践行崇高使命中的卓越贡献。他们通过"血缘"平台搭建起生命救助的桥梁，更以实际行动参与社区公益项目，在推动"血缘Y"创立的进程中提供了全面的支持。
Bloodline.Y is the younger version of Bloodline
that follows the same 3 principles
of it’s parent association:
These youngsters have conducted community blood drives in
several schools, volunteered at hospitals to be with children with Leukemia and blood disorders, collected toys and gifts for children undergoing treatment in hospitals, and actively
participated in Bloodline events as volunteers and performers.
Bloodline.Y 是 Bloodline 的青年分支，
遵循其母组织的三大原则：
（1）以社区为导向的献血活动（尤其针对血液疾病患儿）；
（2）响应血型紧急需求（尤其是稀有血型）
（3）公众意识普及（助力培养公众对无偿献血的积极观念）。
这些年轻人已在多所学校组织社区献血活动，
以志愿者身份在医院陪伴白血病及血液疾病患儿，
为住院治疗的儿童募集玩具和礼物，
并以志愿者和表演者的身份积极参与 Bloodline 的活动。
Dr. Ashish Maskay, a surgeon working at
Shanghai United Family Hospital and the founder of Bloodline,
talked about the structure, core missions, and achievements of Bloodline and how new energy and life have reenergized Bloodline through the additions of Bloodline.Y team members.
He emphasized how everyone should look beyond just themselves and their circle of friends and family to give back to the community. He and his team of Bloodline core members
believe this should be every citizen’s responsibility,
and thus the reason for their unwavering dedication to Bloodline.

他强调，每个人都不应局限于自身及亲友圈子，而应回馈社会。

To do the honors of the award,
Bloodline was blessed to have the presence
of the respected
United Nations Resident Coordinator to China，
Mr. Siddharth Chatterjee.
He passionately articulated how blood donation is not only an act of charity but also an act of humanity, which has a multiplier effect on people. He highlighted how in Shanghai, we are creating a culture of giving back to the community, which in China epitomizes a country of great warmth and hospitality.
