On Oct. 30, Sixth Tone will host a special Halloween talk in Shanghai.
That Friday, author and Chinese ghost culture researcher You Guijun will be joined by Sixth Tone editor Hannah Lund to discuss the culture of Chinese ghosts, comparing their perception and popularization with the evolution and rise of vampire stories in the West.
There will be a special surprise for attendees who interact with the speakers during the Q&A session.

You Guijun is the pen name of a columnist and a researcher on Chinese ghost culture.
Hannah Lund is an editor at Sixth Tone. She has a master's degree in Comparative and World Literature from Zhejiang University.
