导读:Sixth Tone’s ‘China Writing Contest’ Deadline Two Weeks Away

Each generation has a story to tell. Sixth Tone is inviting authors from across the globe to submit China-related nonfiction stories connected with the theme of “generations” by April 30, 2022.

The deadline of Sixth Tone's first-ever “China Writing Contest” is just two weeks away. The contest, themed “Generations,” welcomes 1,000- to 5,000-word nonfiction submissions that provide fresh perspectives, in-depth observations, and engaging storytelling related to China. Submissions must be turned in by 11:59 p.m. (GMT), April 30, 2022.

Submissions should be a work of nonfiction: that can mean journalism, a personal narrative or essay, or a broadly accessible write-up of one’s academic fieldwork. Submissions can be from individuals or teams of up to three people.

Winning entries will be eligible for prizes ranging from 3,000 yuan to 50,000 yuan. Winners will be announced over the summer of 2022, with some outstanding works published on Sixth Tone’s website.
