Sixth Tone is looking for a multi-skilled, passionate commissioning editor to join its commentary team.
Responsibilities:
1. Source, plan, and edit articles from contributing writers, including experts, commentators, and those whose voices are rarely heard.
2. Support colleagues and collaborate with our visual and social media teams to ensure our stories reach a wider audience.
3. Organize events, forums, and activities held by Sixth Tone.
Requirements:
1. Native or native-level Chinese and strong English ability.
2. Master’s degree or higher in social sciences preferred.
3. A comprehensive understanding of Chinese society and an ability to explain selected topics to a foreign audience.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
5. A willingness to work flexibly and autonomously.
