Exploring New York City 探索纽约: Hester Street Fair 海斯特市集

Why New York? While I was in school I took two formative classes - Introduction to Sculpture and Introduction to Jewelry Making. It was fun and definitely fueled my understanding of creating jewelry and shapes. 

为什么是纽约？在大学的时候，我修过两门选修课-雕塑入门和珠宝制作入门。这两门课非常有趣，更加深了我对创作首饰与配件的理解与热情。 

So, the last three weekends I've spent at Hester Street Fair holiday markets have been eye-opening! 过去三个周末我都在海斯特市集活动上度过，来自当地的艺术家设计们的产品简直让我大开眼界！

They had a resident artist @pamelaguest_ who painted free portraits for people who came! 现场有常驻艺术家为到场的人们免费创作肖像画。 

Bags were given out to customers! Really adorable. 免费的包送给顾客们，有型又有趣！

There was tons of vintage clothing too!  超级多的古着随你挑选！

Ceramicists came from upstate NY, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia to show off their unique creations. 来自纽约布鲁克林和费城的陶瓷艺术家们展示他们独特的创作。

Everyone had a different entreprenuerial and artistic journey. I do think that I travelled the furthest! I met the owner of GingerChi NYC who was the first seller of jade rollers on Amazon. She used to live in Hong Kong/Asia over 15 years ago, and it was nice to connect over that. She just opened a spa where you can get treatments like acupuncture, massages, and facials while lying on a JADE BED! 

每个人都有着不同的创业与艺术旅程，从他们身上我受益颇丰，不虚此行！我遇到了GingerChi NYC的主理人，她是第一个在亚马逊上售卖玉制滚轮。她刚开了一家SPA，顾客可以躺在玉制的床上享受针灸，按摩以及美容护肤疗程。

Many thanks for friends in New York that supported me - as you can imagine doing setup in a short time needed help from others! 非常感谢我的朋友们特意抽时间陪我一起参加市集活动！布置摊位还真的需要有人帮助才行！
