It has been reported that almost 18 million Britons tuned in to watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry exchange vows in a stunning ceremony on May 19th. Furthermore, it is believed that more than two billion people worldwide watched the event, making it the fourth most watched royal wedding ever.
The royal wedding, was unsurprisingly one of the biggest television events of the year, with viewers also taking to social media to comment on the nuptials. Now between all that glory, there were many beautiful details that might have missed by the viewers! So in this newsletter, we decided to go through a few romantic, funny and empowering ones. So let's gets started.

Now we are in the business of gift giving. Be it a birthday present, a simple thank you box, a corporate event or a wedding gift, and that is why we were super excited to hear that 1,200 lucky members of the public who got to attend the 2018 royal wedding on May 19th, 2018, left the event with a commemorative tote bag.
Most wedding ceremonies include a gift or wedding favor as a “thank you” for attending, and royal weddings are no different. While Meghan Markle gifted her close friends with a dainty gold bracelet from California designer Zofia Day, the rest of the wedding guests left with a canvas bag filled with fun royal-themed goodies.
According to Business Insider, the couple presented each guest inside St. George's Chapel with a monogrammed beige and blue tote that had Harry and Meghan's initials, the wedding date and location printed on the front.
"A lovely touch for the guests in the Castle for Royal Wedding, complete with water and a huge Harry and Meghan chocolate coin,"
"They want their wedding day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too,” Kensington Palace said in a press release in March. “This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the bride and groom.”
The royal wedding gift bag contained a monogrammed gift bag, a Windsor Castle bottle of water, a fridge magnet, a chocolate coin Shortbread and other official items like the official spectator badge, royal wedding itinerary, and a parking sticker.

THE DRESS

It was absolutely simple: pure and sculptural, in double bonded silk cady with a wide boatneck, long sleeves, and sweeping train. It was by Clare Waight Keller, a British woman and the first female designer of Givenchy. And it was everything people had hoped.
This was not a Cinderella choice, not one that spoke of fantasy or old-fashioned fairy tales. Instead, it placed the woman proudly front and center and underscored Ms. Markle’s own independence.
The five-meter veil was of silk tulle, with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza, and contained embroidery representing the flora of all 53 Commonwealth nations.

This wedding had everything to do with two people who are totally into each other and wanted to have a great big happy celebration. Unlike a lot of weddings — and certainly unlike Kate and William’s wedding, just seven years ago — the guests inside hung out in the aisles, air-kissing and gossiping. It’s a great royal-and-celebrity cocktail party! (Sadly without cocktails.)
Kate and William’s wedding was solemn, stately, stuffy, full of dignitaries, politicians, and the sort of boring personages known here as the great and the good. But this looked totally fun for the guests — even more fun than, say, the Academy Awards — because no one was competing for anything and no one was forced to talk about their outfits to television reporters. Part of the change in tone is down to the passage of time and to how much Britain, or perhaps the royal family, has changed in the last few years.
Another reason, of course, is that Harry, being the second son and not a future king, has the freedom to be more relaxed, less constrained by tradition, and less conventional than his brother. This wedding has nothing to do with dynasty, or ensuring the security of the royal line. (We hope they have kids! But only because it’s fun to have kids, not because it would be some sort of international crisis if they did not.)

An empty seat was noticeable next to Prince William inside St. George’s Chapel as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on Saturday — but it wasn’t for the reason many people believe.
Viewers who tuned into the royal wedding questioned whether the seat was reserved to honor the late Princess Diana. In reality, though, the seat was simply kept empty so Queen Elizabeth had a perfectly clear view of the proceedings from the second row, PEOPLE has learned.

Although the reserved seat wasn’t to honor Harry and William’s mother, the bride and groom carried on her memory at the ceremony in another way: using their lavish floral arrangement as a tribute to Diana.
The couple enlisted the help of floral designer Philippa Craddock to create the unique display. The arrangement was filled with branches of beech, birch and hornbeam, as well as peonies, foxgloves, and one of Diana’s favorite flowers — white garden roses. Now that Harry and Meghan have tied the knot, the arrangements with be distributed to various charitable organizations.

Additionally, Meghan’s bouquet featured flowers handpicked by her husband in the couple’s private garden at their home at Kensington Palace. He gave his selections — including Forget-Me-Nots, another one of Diana’s favorites — to be added to her bespoke bridal bouquet. According to the palace, the use of the Forget-Me-Nots was intentional to honor Diana’s memory on the couple’s wedding day.

One of the great excitements about any wedding, of course, is the moment you learn who has been invited and who has not. Meghan and Harry’s list was kept secret, until the very moment that dozens of mysterious figures started to enter St. George’s Chapel.
It was very exciting. There was none other than Oprah Winfrey, in a snug pink dress, a pair of very cool sunglasses and a massive broad-brimmed hat spectacularly festooned with flowers. If anyone qualifies as American royalty, it is surely Oprah, with her ability to transcend race and background, and her great gift for openness and emotional candor.

The newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex departed Windsor for their evening reception at Frogmore House in a very James Bond fashion. There was a 1968 Jaguar convertible, there was a groom in a black velvet dinner jacket and there was the new Duchess of Sussex, the woman formerly known as Meghan Markle, in a backless, halter-necked, ivory-silk crepe, bias-cut gown by Stella McCartney. And thus did the freshly-minted royal couple bring a wedding that melded royal tradition with modernity and multiculturalism to a James Bond-worthy end.
Unlike the nuptial gown, however, the duchess’s party dress was dosed with both glamor and seduction; slinky in the torch singer tradition (more Jean Harlow than Audrey Hepburn) while still landing on the right side of appropriate. Her slightly messy bun, which is starting to look like a signature — with the escaping hairs signifying her more relaxed approach to her role — had been freed from the scrim of a veil.
The effect was of a woman who knows her own mind and body; who understands just how far she can push the envelope, and the power of a final image. A woman who might have been stirred by today’s experience, but was never shaken.
