Role Summary
This key role is to provide Programme Management expertise to Silverstream Technologies Operations team. Reporting into GM China and Head of Delivery Unit, you will be acting as the programme owner for a group of projects of similar scope/specification pertaining to the newbuild and retrofit integration of our ALS technology onto ships around the world.
A typical Programme encompasses multiple projects and systems installations. The role requires line management of a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators across multiple Silverstream offices.
You will be resilient, self-managing, motivated, and have excellent organisation skills to manage a variety of projects. Experience of working on the global stage with situational and cultural sensitivity is strongly preferred, alongside a strong customer focus and understanding of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
•Take responsibility for health and safety on your assigned programme.
•Accountable to the leadership team for a portfolio of projects including sales support, project execution of deliverables, oversight of installation and commissioning through to system acceptance and handover to our Customer Support (after-sales) team.
•Collaborate with Sales and Project Services in reviewing incoming opportunities taking responsibility for planning resources for your assigned programme.
•Lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators throughout the programme lifecycle.
•Act as main escalation point for customers and suppliers, developing lasting relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Plan and oversee engineering activities to adapt our system and standard products to meet individual project design requirements.
•Maintain and improve, where necessary, the project framework and ways of working, providing governance on project scope, deliverables, document registers and project schedules to ensure projects meet expectations for time, cost & quality.
•Conduct project reviews and prepare/present management reporting.
•Anticipating, managing, and mitigating risks across the programme, taking ownership of mitigation actions and managing internal and external stakeholders.
•Manage programme scope and budget identifying opportunities for value creation across the programme.
•Oversee the project launch process with the Sales team upon contract signing.
•Oversee the project handover process with the Customer Support team upon delivery.

Required Qualifications
and Experience:
•Project Management Qualification (minimum APM PMQ or equivalent).
•Higher Degree in Engineering or a relevant subject preferrable.
•Mastery in managing programmes end-to-end through the complete project lifecycle.
•Shipbuilding, Marine, Oil and Gas project experience preferrable
•Skilled in leadership, including an ability to develop and present technical and commercial arguments effectively at all levels in the organisation, influencing internal and external stakeholders accordingly.
•Skilled in people management, including ability to lead a diverse team and manage talent and career progression opportunities.
•Skilled in leading integration projects with multi-disciplinary aspects such as structural, mechanical, electrical and automation engineering.
•Knowledge of working with Classification Societies (DNV, ABS, LR, etc.) and their rules is preferrable.
•Skilled in using project management software (MS Project is preferred).
•Knowledge of basic Intellectual Property protection is preferred.
•Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to operate at all levels of the organisation.
•Japanese proficiency in business communication is desirable.
