When you check out on baopals, you will have two options presented to you: Convenient Pickup and Taobao Direct Shipping.
Taobao Direct Shipping
All of your purchased items will be shipped directly from the individual Taobao sellers to your shipping address. Deliveries in China tend to come in the morning and early afternoon, so if you are in an office most days, please consider using your office adddress for shipping.
Note: This option is recommended for those comfortable communicating in Chinese, or with Chinese speakers nearby, as you will be responsible for communication with the delivery person (they may call when outside the address, if no one is there to receive delivery, etc.). In addition, packaging is not consolidated. This means if you order items from multiple sellers, expect multiple deliveries.
Convenient Pickup
Thousands of convenience stores around China are Convenient Pickup spots. If you live in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Dongguan, Hefei, Ningbo or Jiaxing, then it’s very likely that your local convenient store is a drop off point. Convenient Pickup is like having your own warehouse. This is also the best option in terms of speed and price.
If you’ve selected Convenient Pickup then you will not have to deal with any delivery people. Just wait for an SMS, head down to your local convenient store, show them the text message, and pick up your items!

Note: You will have 5 days to pick up your items after they have been delivered to your drop off point. After 5 days you will be charged anywhere between CNY0.5–2.0 a day. If the product you ordered is perishable or of an obscene size, then problems may arise. For these orders, it’s best that you have it shipped directly to your home or talk to our customer service representatives for alternative shipping options.
