Baopals began when three best friends came together to solve a problem they all shared: not having a convenient way to shop on Taobao and Tmall. Since launching the platform in March 2016, the team has quickly expanded, bringing together like-minded problem solvers committed to making life easier for Baopals’ customers.
The Product
Baopals allows foreigners to easily to browse, view, and purchase products from Taobao and Tmall. All product information is available in English, western-oriented products are easy to find, and foreign-friendly payments are accepted. The platform launched in March 2016 and has already sold over 1,000,000 items.
Baopals won the 2017 OTEC International Startup Competition, is the only foreign team to ever win the Shanghai Municipal Startup Competition, and has been featured in numerous press as one of the most exciting new companies in China.

By 2018, our goal is to become a global ecommerce player, allowing Chinese brands and sellers to reach foreign markets and gain the trust of foreign shoppers in ways that have never been seen before. The team is now preparing to release Baopals 2.0 on March 1st, 2018!
What You Bring to the Table
Native Chinese speaker with working proficiency in English
Experience with Taobao as a purchaser and/or a seller
Customer-first approach and strong communication skills
Computer savvy, detail-oriented and organized
What You'll Be Doing
Communicate with customers, sellers, and delivery providers to ensure every order on Baopals ends with a happy customer
Analyze logistics and order data to provide important feedback on sellers, products, delivery times, and more
Assist content and marketing team to identify popular sellers, special deals, and recommended products
Grow with the Baopals family and meet new challenges as the business expands
