This long running Off Broadway absurdist comedy places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his Theory of Relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with Cubism. In his first comedy for the stage, the popular actor and screenwriter Steve Martin plays fast and loose with fact, fame, and fortune as these two geniuses muse on the 20th century’s achievements and prospects, as well as other fanciful topics, with infectious dizziness. A colourful cast of bar bystanders at the Lapin Agile join the merriment contributing to the drama and hilarious, often thought-provoking conversation…including a mysterious, charismatic Visitor time warped in from a later era…

Following their successful production of Enchanted April, Summer 2021, Theatre Anon and Cotton’s invite you to this brilliant, inventive, laugh out loud comedy. Once again, the performance will take place in the historical surroundings of Cotton’s Xinhua Garden accompanied by an exclusive European style brunch.
