Did you know that Baopals users can earn money by finding products and sharing them with friends and the Baopals community? If someone buys a product you recommended, a commission will be automatically added to your Baopals Wallet. The commission amount is based on the price of the product purchased and tiered based on your Baopals Fortune. Fortune is a rough measurement of the content you create on Baopals and how well it is received by the Baopals community. The more Fortune you earn, the more rewards and privileges you will unlock.
Negative fortune - No commission can be earned.
Fortune is between 0 and 250 - ¥0.5 + 1% of the item price.
Fortune is between 250 and 500 - ¥0.75 + 1.5% of the item price.
Fortune is over 500 - ¥1 + 2% of the item price.
For example, if a user purchases a ¥50 product through your affiliate link, you will earn ¥1 + (2% of 50) for a total of ¥2 if your Fortune is over 500.
There are 5 ways in which users can share products and earn affiliate commissions.
1. Review Your Purchases – Product reviews are shown on the Baopals homepage, the What's Hot section, and the Discover section. People who follow you will also be notified when you write new reviews. If you leave a product review for an item you purchased on Baopals, you will automatically earn ¥1 per review. Any time someone goes to a product from your review and purchases it, you'll earn commission.
2. Create a Collection – Easily organize your favorite products into collections. Share your collections with friends by using the share icons when viewing your collection. You may also increase the visibility of your collection by tagging it in relevant Baopals Communities. Any successful purchase made via your collection will earn commission!
3. Post Products in Communities – Help the community out and earn money while doing it! You may share any Baopals product link in a Post or a Reply. The product will automatically be linked to you and any subsequent users who purchase the item via your link will result in earned commission for you! Go to the Discover: Community page.
4. Share on Social Media – Baopals makes it easy to share any Baopals product on WeChat, Facebook, Pinterest, or Twitter. Simply click on the share icon from any Baopals product page and select the social media platform of your choice. The product share will contain your personal affiliate link so any purchases made from your share will be linked to you!
5. Embed Affiliate URLs on Your Website – Have your own blog or website? Hyperlink Baopals products that your users will love and start earning commissions from every sale! When logged into your Baopals account, you can go to any Baopals product page and click the share button to see your personal affiliate link for that product. Use this link on your website and you’re good to go!
Receiving Your Commissions
Payments for commissions will be disbursed on the 21st of every month. The payment received will be a single lump sum for the previous month’s commissions. For example, on July 21st all users will receive their commissions made for the entire month of June. This is done to ensure that all affiliate purchases are final (no returns or refunds).
On the 21st of every month you will see a record of commission payment received in My Wallet as well as My Earnings.
Viewing Your Commissions
You may view your commission sales in real time from the My Earnings page. Here you can easily monitor which of your products are selling and how, the amount earned per sale and obtain summarized monthly sales statements.
All products will have one of the three following commission statuses:
Pending – Barring a refund on this item, the commission amount will be approved on the 21st of the following month.
Approved – If your sale was not refunded by the 21st of the following month, the status will automatically trigger the Approved status. This means the sale commission has been earned and deposited into your wallet.
Declined (Refunded) – This item was either cancelled or returned for a refund. No commission is awarded.
In addition, any time someone signs up from your affiliate links, you can earn an extra ¥25!
