One of the great things about Baopals is that the majority of products have free shipping, and we don't charge any additonal shipping fees. However, now and again, shipping charges may apply, depending on the seller. When a seller does decide to add a shipping charge, the additional fee is shown and automatically included in the final product price, allowing you to make an informed decision on whether or not purchase. Here are some handy tips and facts about shipping fees that will help you avoid any unpleasant surprises later on.
While the majority of items have free shipping or the fee is transparently shown on the product page, there are instances when additional shipping charges may be applied after the sale has been made. These additional fees are occasionally applied to very large and/or heavy products, such as furniture and home appliances, or if you are located in remote or central regions such as Hainan, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, or Xinjiang.
For furniture and household appliances there can be up to 4 different shipping charges:
Delivery to local warehouse. This is the cheapest option, but not recommended, as the customer will have to personally go to the warehouse and arrange the shipping for the final leg.
Delivery to ground floor of home address. For this option, the delivery men will drop it off in the compound or at the 1st floor of your building.
Delivery to your apartment door. Easy peasy!
Delivery to your apartment, plus assembly. Assembling furniture can make or break a relationship. Avoid taking the risk by paying extra to have someone come and assemble the item for you.
