根据CWT Alert 的最新消息，意大利航空领域从业人员计划于10月24日在意大利全国各个机场就工资与工作环境问题举行一系列罢工。除非该罢工被取消，罢工行动将导致全国机场客运及货运航班运营及地面服务大范围中断。由于飞机在始发地受到延误，此次罢工还可能附带造成整个欧洲航空网络的延误，尤其是意大利旗舰航空公司意大利航空的班次。国内及短途航班最有可能受到影响。
已宣布的罢工信息如下：
全国范围：空中交通管制员，欧洲中部夏令时间13点至17点
巴里机场：地面操作人员，10点至18点
布林迪西机场：地面操作人员，10点至18点
马尔彭萨机场：行李搬运工，10点至18点
纳特机场：行李搬运工，10点至18点
那不勒斯国际机场：所有工作人员，13点至17点
目前参与此次罢工的人数尚未明确。根据各机场雇主有效缓解人员短缺的程度，航班中断的严重性也会不尽相同。航空公司通常会通过提前取消航班将航班中断的风险降到最低，最早10月23日起就会有航班被取消。虽然此次罢工可能导致大范围空中交通中断，但由于意大利法律规定工人在罢工期间必须保障最低限度的服务，罢工将不会造成严重后果。
CWT建议近期乘坐航班往返意大利相关地区的旅客提前确认航班动态，合理安排出行。
Potential Strike Staged by Italian Aviation Sector on October 24
According to a recent CWT Alert, aviation sector workers plan to stage rolling strikes over pay and working conditions at airports across Italy on October. 24. Unless averted, the industrial actions could cause widespread disruptions to flight operations and ground handling services for passenger and cargo flights throughout the country. The work stoppage may also cause ancillary delays on airline networks across Europe, particularly that of flagship carrier Alitalia (AZ), resulting from aircraft being delayed at their points of origin. Domestic and short-haul flights are the most likely to be affected.
Announced work stoppages:
• Nationwide: air traffic controllers, 1300-1700 CEST
• Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport (BRI): ground staff, 1000-1800
• Brindisi - Salento Airport (BDS): ground staff, 1000-1800
• Milan - Malpensa Airport (MXP): baggage handlers, 1000-1800
• Milan Linate Airport (LIN): baggage handlers, 1000-1800
• Naples International Airport (NAP): all workers, 1300-1700
The extent of worker participation remains unclear. Levels of disruption may vary by airports depending on how effectively employers are able to mitigate staff shortages. Airlines often preemptively cancel flights to minimize unforeseen disruptions; cancellations are likely to take effect as early as October 23. Although the strikes will probably result in widespread air transport disruptions, they will probably not be crippling, as Italian law requires that transport workers maintain a minimum level of service during labor actions.
CWT reminds travelers to/from affected areas in Italy to check flight status in advance and arrange travel accordingly.
