
恶劣天气即将影响美国和英国大部分地区
根据CWT Alert 的最新消息,气象学家预计2月1日至3日期间美国中部大部分地区以及加拿大安大略湖中南部分地区即将迎来恶劣暴风雪天气。暴风雪将于2月1日晚间开始增强,随后将沿着科罗拉多经过堪萨斯州和内布拉斯加州,于2月2日早间进入到爱荷华州。它将继续通过明尼苏达州南部、威斯康辛、密歇根州上半岛并于2月3日进入加拿大安大略湖苏圣玛丽市。
与此同时,英国气象局也针对英国大部分地区发布了恶劣天气黄色预警,并对苏格兰西部地区发布了橙色大风预警。在高海拔地区,大风还将伴随暴雨和降雪。预计在多个主要机场都可能出现严重航班延误和取消,包括阿伯丁机场、爱丁堡机场、格拉斯哥机场、纽卡斯尔机场及曼彻斯特机场。

马来西亚登革热疫情最新进展
根据CWT Alert 的最新报道,马来西亚登革热传播依然活跃。近一半的病例发生在雪兰莪州。同时普特拉贾亚、柔佛、登嘉楼和吉隆坡也是登革热高发区。登革热是一种通过蚊子传播的疾病,防止蚊子叮咬是唯一有效预防登革热的途径。
中航嘉信提醒有计划前往以上地区的旅客注意防范,尽量减少前往疫情严重地区。

2月1日至3日中国西南地区将遭遇雨雪天气
据中国气象局 消息,2月1日至3日中国西南地区将有雨雪天气。四川西部高原(包括成都和绵阳)、云南东北部、贵州中北部等地有小到中雪,局部有大雪。贵州中部部分地区有冻雨。

东方航空、上海航空将调整上海浦东机场值机柜台
接航空公司消息,上海浦东机场将进行T1航站楼改造,2016年1月28日至3月26日东方航空、上海航空将对值机区域进行调整。
国内值机柜台:
1. F岛1-13号柜台为高端旅客值机区
2. A岛1-13号柜台(A1为远程值机柜台)
3. B岛1-26号柜台(B1、B14为远程值机柜台)
4. C岛1-13号柜台(C1为远程值机柜台)
国际值机柜台:
1. D岛1-13号柜台办理北美、澳大利亚、新加坡航线(D13为远程值机柜台)

接航空公司消息,自2016年1月23日零时起(罗马当地时间)东航MU788(罗马-上海)及MU790(罗马-温州)的航班已搬回菲乌米诺奇机场T3航站楼运营,具体值机柜台请旅客关注T3航站楼信息屏。

加拿大将于2016年3月15日起启用电子旅行证(eTA)
据加拿大政府官网 消息,2016年3月15日起,乘飞机前往加拿大或通过加拿大中转的免签国公民需要申请电子旅行证(eTA)。美国公民和持有有效签证的外国公民除外。
- 什么是eTA?
eTA电子旅行证是针对乘飞机前往加拿大的免签国公民的一项新的入境要求,将在2016年3月15日起强制执行。该措施旨在协助加拿大政府在旅客到达前审核其信息。电子旅行证与旅客护照相关联,有效期为5年或与护照有效期相同。
- eTA适用人群?
eTA针对的是持免签护照的外国旅客。持中华人民共和国护照入境者不在列。但是持有中国香港特别行政区护照、或带有个人身份号码的中国台湾普通护照的入境者同样需要eTA入境加拿大。

2016年美国免签新政
据美国国务院领事事务局 消息,基于2015年改善免签证计划暨防范恐怖份子旅行法,自2016年1月21日起以下类型旅客将不再被允许通过免签证计划(VWP)获准进入美国:
2011年3月1日及以后曾前往或在伊朗、伊拉克、苏丹、叙利亚停留过的免签国家公民(少数以外交或军事目的服务于免签国家的旅行者除外)。
同时也是伊朗、伊拉克、苏丹或叙利亚公民的免签国家公民。
上述个人仍能通过常规预约流程在美国大使馆或领事馆申请签证。曾代表国际组织或人道主义组织访问以上四国的个人、或曾前往这些国家进行报道的记者仍可获得免签。
免签证计划仍适用于与之前相同的38个国家的公民,这些公民仍然可以免签前往美国并停留最多90天。

Severe weather predicted in U.S. and most of U.K.
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, meteorologists are predicting a severe winter storm that will affect much of central U.S. and parts of south-central Ontario, Canada on February 1-3. The storm will intensify by late February 1, moving from Colorado through Kansas and Nebraska into Iowa by early February 2. It will then continue into southern Minnesota, Wisconsin, the upper peninsula of Michigan, and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada by February 3.
U.K. Met Office has also posted a yellow severe weather warning for most of the country, and another amber high wind warning for western Scotland. The wind will be accompanied by heavy rain and snow in higher elevations. Severe delays and cancellations are possible at major airports, including Aberdeen (ABZ), Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA), Newcastle (NCL), and Manchester (MAN).
CWT China reminds travelers already in or have plans to travel to the above areas, to pay close attention to local weather reports, check flight status before departure and arrange travel accordingly.

Update on dengue fever in Malaysia
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, dengue fever activity remains high in Malaysia. Approximately half of all cases have occurred in Selangor State. Situation is also severe in the states of Putrajaya, Johor, Terengganu, and Kuala Lumpur. This disease is spread by mosquitoes. Preventing mosquito bites is the only way to stop a dengue infection.
CWT China reminds travelers with plans to the above areas to watch the situation closely and avoid going to the hard-hit areas.

Rain and snow will hit southwestern China on February 1-3
As reported by China Meteorological Administration (CMA), southwestern China will experience rain and snow conditions on February 1-3. Small to moderate snow will hit west plateau of Sichuan including Chengdu and Mianyang, northeastern Yunnan and north-central Guizhou, parts will even experience heavy snow. Parts of central Guizhou will also encounter sleet.

China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines will adjust its check-in counters at Shanghai Pudong International Airport
As informed by the airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines will adjust its check-in areas at Terminal 1 of Shanghai Pudong International Airport from January 28 to March 26 due to airport renovation.
Domestic check-in counters:
1. Island F, counter No.1-13 for premier passengers
2. Island A, counter No.1-13 (A1 for off-site check-in)
3. Island B, counter No.1-26 (B1 and B14 for off-site check-in)
4. Island C, counter No.1-13 (C1 for off-site check-in)
International check-in counters:
1. Island D, counter No.1-13 for north America, Australia and Singapore routes (D13 for off-site check-in)
2. Island E, counter No.1-26 for premier passengers
3. Island G, counter No.1-13 for Europe, Japan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Nepal, UAE, Sri Lanka and Maldives routes (G13 for off-site check-in)

China Eastern Airlines transferred its operation back to terminal 3 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport
As informed by the airline, operation of China Eastern Airlines' flight MU788 from Rome to Shanghai and flight MU790 from Rome to Wenzhou has been transferred back to terminal 3 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport on 23 January 2016. Specific check-in counter information can be found on the information screen at T3.
For China Eastern Airlines' flights originating from Rome airport, check-in can start as early as 3 hours and 45 minutes in advance, counters will be closed 45 minutes before departure. Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) required to enter Canada from 15 March 2016
According to announcement on Government of Canada, starting 15 March 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and foreign nationals with a valid visa.
- What is eTA?
eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is a new entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. The new policy will take effect from 15 March 2016, allowing the Canadian government to screen travelers before they arrive. The authorization is electronically linked to the passport and is valid for five years or until the passport expires.
- Who needs eTA?
eTA applies to visa-exempt foreign nationals. Passport issued by the People's Republic of China are excluded. However, passport issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and ordinary passport issued by Taiwan with personal identification number needs an eTA to travel to Canada.

Changes to U.S. visa waiver program
As announced by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State, under the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, travelers in the following categories are no longer eligible to travel or be admitted to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), effective 21 January, 2016:
Nationals of VWP countries who have traveled to or been present in Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria on or after 1 March, 2011 (with limited exceptions for travelers for diplomatic or military purposes in the service of a VWP country).
Nationals of VWP countries who are also nationals of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria.
These individuals will still be able to apply for a visa using the regular appointment process at an U.S. embassy or consulate. Anyone who has visited one of the four countries on behalf of international organizations or humanitarian groups, or journalists who have reported from those countries could be eligible for a waiver.
The program still applies to citizens of the same 38 countries as before, meaning others can still travel to the U.S. for up to 90 days without a visa.
