Update on Danish and Belgian border restrictions
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, the Danish government has extended temporary restrictions along the country's border with Germany through at least March 4. Travelers from Germany to Denmark will have to show proper identification - generally a passport or an EU-approved identity card - at border crossings.
The Belgian government has also reintroduced border controls along the French frontier on February 23. The measures are to remain in place as long as officials deem necessary.
Police and immigration agents may impose restrictions on vehicles and rail traffic entering Belgium from France and from Germany to Denmark. Those traveling by air between each country are unlikely to be affected.
