Boosting Security Ahead of APEC Summit in Manila and Flights at Manila International Airport May Be Canceled or Delayed
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, Philippine authorities have further tightened security across Metro Manila surrounding the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Summit slated to occur November 18-19 amid security fears in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Periodic runway closures will affect many domestic and international flights in Ninoy Aquino International Airport when heads of states arrive and depart. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, and AirAsia have announced dozens of flight cancellations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport November 17-20. Security will be tight at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, causing possible congestion and delays. Road closures and traffic diversions are being implemented near the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and on streets leading to the venue.
