据中国东方航空报道，2017年6月6日起，西安机场、昆明机场、南京机场、上海浦东机场T1、上海虹桥机场T2、青岛机场、太原机场始发的东航、上航所有国内航线（除西藏、新疆航线）将开始推行全面自助值机服务模式。
无托运行李的旅客可通过网上值机、手机值机（微信值机、APP客户端、短信值机）、CUSS值机（即机场自助值机设备）等多种方式换取登机牌；
有托运行李的旅客请先以自助方式取得登机牌，再凭登机牌到指定的人工柜台办理行李托运手续；
持有白金卡、头等舱、公务舱、金卡、银卡的旅客请照常到专属人工柜台办理登机牌及行李托运。
在运行初期，对于不熟悉机场自助机器操作的旅客，东航将有专人在现场提供协助。9月1日起，该项服务模式将进一步推广至武汉机场、南昌机场、宁波机场、合肥机场、兰州机场、成都机场、北京机场和广州机场。
中航嘉信提醒旅客根据机场指示牌前往正确地点办理或现场咨询乘机手续，以保障顺利出行。

China Eastern Airlines has implemented overall self-check-in services at several airports in China
As reported by China Eastern Airlines, domestic flights carried by China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines (excluding flights to Tibet and Xinjiang ) have been implemented overall self-check-in services at several airports including Xi’an Airport, Kunming Airport, Nanjing Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport at Terminal 1, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport at Terminal 2, Qingdao Airport and Taiyuan Airport, effective 6 June 2017.
Travelers without checked baggage could get their boarding passes through online check-in, mobile phone check-in (Wechat, Apps, SMS) or CUSS (a self-check-in device at the airport).
Travelers with checked baggage should get the boarding passes through all the above mentioned self-check-in service, then go to the related manual counters to register their baggage with the boarding passes.
Platinum card holders, first class travelers, business class travelers, gold card holders, silver card holders should go to the specified manual counters for check-in and register their baggage as usual.
During the initial operation period, China Eastern Airlines will distribute the specific staff to offer service for travelers who are unfamiliar with the operation of auto-machine. This service will be further promoted to Wuhan Airport, Nanchang Airport, Ningbo Airport, Hefei Airport, Lanzhou Airport, Chengdu Airport, Beijing Airport and Guangzhou Airport from September 1.
