自2017年5月8日起，新西兰移民局 将对前往新西兰旅游或进行商务活动的中国公民发放5年多次往返签证，签证费用不变。持该签证的旅客每次到访新西兰最长可停留1个月，值得注意的是，旅客在任意18个月内的停留时间不得超过9个月。
此外，新西兰移民局和海关也将简化入关流程，所有中国护照持有人从新西兰机场入境时，可使用SmartGate自助通关。

New Zealand Immigration will grant five-year multiple entry visas to Chinese citizens traveling to New Zealand for tourism or business from 8 May 2017. The fee for a visitor’s visa has not been changed. The maximum stay for visitors with the visitor visas is one month. It is noticing that visitors are limited to a stay of nine months in any 18 month period.
In addition, New Zealand Immigration and Customs will also simplify the entry process. All Chinese passport holders entering New Zealand airports can use SmartGate facilities for automated border clearance.
