Border control reinforced in Denmark
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, began 12:00 January 4, Danish authority reintroduced intermittent identification checks on traffic entering the country from Germany. The measure will initially be in force for a 10-day period, but is likely to be extended on or before January 14 for another 20 days. Controls are in place at road and rail crossings in southern Jutland and at the Gedser, Rodby and Ronne ferry ports in the Sjaelland and Hovedstaden regions.
Passengers traveling by rail and ferry may be unable to disembark at their destinations without producing identification. Those traveling by air between the two countries are unlikely to be affected.
CWT China reminds travelers with plans to the above areas to pay close attention to local news and travel alerts, and arrange travel accordingly.
