Unionized aviation sector workers in Italy plan to strike on May 14
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, unionized aviation sector workers in Italy plan to stage a nationwide strike on May 14. Unless averted, the industrial action could cause widespread disruptions to flight operations and ground handling services for passenger and cargo flights throughout the country.
Announced Work Stoppages
Nationwide:
ENAV air traffic controllers (ATCs), pilots and aviation sector workers, 1300-1700
Mistral Air (M4) personnel, 1300-1700
Naples International Airport (NAP): unionized airport staff, 1300-1700
Further nationwide strikes are planned for May 17, including ground staff at airports in Rome, though details have yet to be released.
