As reported in a recent CWT Alert, EgyptAir (MS) flight MS804 disappeared from radar over the Mediterranean Sea while en route from Paris (CDG) to Cairo (CAI) on May 19. Contact was lost with the aircraft as it was approaching Egyptian airspace. The Airbus A320-232 was carrying about 60 passengers and 10 crew members. Initial reports did not provide any information about whether the pilot declared an emergency or whether the plane might have attempted to land at another airport. The aircraft took off from CDG at 2309 CEST on May 18 and disappeared at 0245 EET.
