Rail strike in Belgium during June 12-19
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, leaders of the CGSP-Cheminots and CSC-Transcom labor unions have called on train drivers from the National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB/NMBS) to strike from 2200 June 12 through at least 2200 June 19.
The extent of disruptions is expected to vary by region. Expect increased demand for alternative forms of transportation including buses and rental cars during the walkout.

Spanish rail union plans to strike on June 10, 12, 14 and 16
As reported in a recent CWT Alert, the Spanish Union of Train Drivers and Railway Workers (SEMAF) has called on workers employed by the National Rail Network (RENFE) to stage a series of 24-hour strikes on June 10, 12, 14 and 16. Unless averted, the work stoppage will likely result in reduced services and altered schedules across the RENFE passenger and cargo network.
