Trump signed a new executive order on 6-nation ban and Syrian refugees suspension
As reported by media, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a new executive order on 6 March 2017 including a 90-day restriction on citizens of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Iraq has been dropped from January’s previous order. In additon, the new executive order also clamped down on refugee admissions. Citizens who are legal US permanent residents or have valid visas to enter the U.S. will not be affected by the new ban. The ban planned to take effect from March 16.
We are aware some travelers may be impacted by the new US travel restrictions. CWT China is monitoring this situation as events continue to unfold. Because each travel situation is unique, travelers are advised to seek advice from your appropriate corporate resource (legal counsel, human resources, etc.) or from a relevant immigration authority (local embassy, homeland security, etc.). And avoid going to crowded places to secure personal safety.
