A very warm welcome to the latest issue of the CWT China Market Watch. Representing CWT's Asia Pacific office and our Global Customer Solutions team, I am very proud and honoured to have the opportunity to introduce this exciting and insightful edition.
Customer first, customer experience, or customer obsession are some of the common terms you hear across all industries today. This is no different in the world of corporate travel management as we continuously strive to deliver the best experience for our customers. In order to progress, feedback from our clients is vital, so I am very excited that our valued client Lenovo Group will be sharing some best practices with everyone.
Data = Knowledge, but Analytics = Insights. CWT has been working to unlock the vast amount of data we have access to, in order to create meaningful insights that travel managers can use. We launched CWT AnalytIQs to provide real-time data that will help our clients make faster decisions, identify savings and make travel management easier. You can find out more about this exciting new system in this month's issue.
As a leader in travel management, we always look for ways to help our clients better understand their market and stay on top of industry trends. Our recent survey into the corporate travel market in China identified some key trends and priorities in 2016, whilst CWT Solutions Group also released a white paper on hotel consolidation earlier this year. I hope that the insights from this research will help you understand the implications these developments may have on your corporate travel programs and guide you on the next steps.
Finally, this issue we will also share some great traveller tips to make sure you have a smooth journey, from visa requirements and applications to how to handle flight cancellations or delays.
I am extremely proud of the progress we've made at CWT China so far. This year we celebrated 10 years of operation at our Meishan branch; we launched a brand new bilingual website; and have become even more active on social media, especially on WeChat. We are committed to staying connected to our clients and partners, and we are excited about being a driving force in the rapidly evolving travel management industry in China.
