根据中国驻美国大使馆 通知，近日美国政府开始要求美国签证申请人提供社交媒体账号信息。中国驻美国大使馆提醒赴美中国公民在申请签证时遵守相关法律，如实填写赴美目的、如实提供申请材料，抵美后不从事与签证类别不符的活动。
此外，大使馆表示，持有效美国签证并不表明一定可以进入美国。美边境执法人员拥有准许入境的最终决定权。持美国签证赴美被拒绝入境的情况十分常见，多因美边境执法部门怀疑当事人赴美目的与其签证类别不符。如执法人员对入境者的入境目的或所持证件有所怀疑，入境者需到二次检查区进一步检查和面谈。

U.S. requiring social media information from visa applicants
As reported by Chinese Embassy in the U.S., visa applicants to the U.S. are required to submit the information about social media accounts under the U.S. government’s policy that started recently. Chinese Embassy in the U.S. reminds travelers who have plans to the U.S. to observe the related laws when applying visas, fill in the purpose to the U.S. and submit application materials faithfully. Do not engage in activities inconsistent with the visa category after arriving in the U.S..
In addition, the embassy said a valid U.S. visa does not guarantee the entry. U.S. border enforcement officials have the final decision in granting entry. It is a common circumstance that travelers with the U.S. visas are refused to enter. Most of they are suspected by the U.S. border enforcement officials that the purpose of travel is not consistent with the type of visa. Travelers are required to the secondary screening area for the further examination and interview when the law enforcement officers have doubts about the purpose of entry or travelers' documents.
