代码共享是指一家航空公司的航班号（即代码）可以用在另一家航空公司的航班上，即旅客在全程旅行中有一段航程或全程航程是乘坐出票航空公司航班号但非出票航空公司承运的航班。
近期中航嘉信收到许多旅客及客户公司反馈在选择代码共享航班后，出现了许多不便的情况，如：
- 无法提前办理网上值机
- 无法提前选座
- 无法自助打印登机牌
- 值机时需要去实际承运柜台办理值机和行李托运（一旦旅客去错柜台，会耽误行程）
- 若发生客户投诉，票证与实际承运航司不同，会发生两个航司之间相互推诿的现象，投诉的跟进也有可能不够及时
- 若遇到航班变化，选择代码共享航班的旅客可能无法及时收到通知
以上情况及尚未描述到的乘坐代码共享航班所引起的问题实际给外出奔波的旅客带来诸多不便。
此外，根据“大中华携手飞”计划，东航、南航金卡及白金卡会员（银卡除外），乘坐东航、南航、厦航的中国大陆国内航线经济舱，出示实体卡后，亦可使用各航指定机场自营贵宾室，旅客无需担心因选择不同航司而无法享受贵宾休息室。
综上，我们再次提醒各位旅客预定行程时充分考虑乘坐代码共享航班可能带来的不便之处，谨慎选择代码共享航班。

Kindly reminder from CWT China: taking code-share flights might cause inconvenience travelers should be cautious
A code-sharing agreement is an agreement between two or more air carriers, whereby the carrier operating a given flight allows one or more other carriers to market this flight and issue tickets for it as if they were operating the flight themselves. In practice, these other carriers add their own carrier designator code and flight number onto that of the operating carrier.
CWT China received some feedback in recent time complaining that taking code-share flights has brought lots of inconvenience:
- Not feasible to check-in online in advance
- Not feasible to choose seats in advance
- Not feasible to print boarding pass through self-service machines
- Requested to go to counters of the actual carriers for check-in (once travelers go to wrong counters, trips might possibly be disrupted)
- Any complaints happen, the two airlines might pass the buck to each other as the ticket proof is different from the actual carrier's, apart from that, complain cases might not be followed in time
- If flight is changed, travelers who choose code sharing might not receive the notice from the airline on time
There might be more trouble than what has been stated as above if a code-share flight is taken. In the meanwhile, according to the project named 'Greater China Connection' initiated by SkyTeam, both gold card and platinum card holders (silver card excluded) of China Eastern and China Southern who take economy class of domestic flights can use appointed VIP lounges of each airline as long as they show the entity cards. Travelers needn't be concerned they cannot use the VIP lounges just for the reason of a different airline has been chosen.
