With sherry oak barrels at the heart of the macallan single malt whisky, our long standing reputation is a testament to the exceptional quality of our oak barrels.From souring, shaping, smoking to adjusting the humidity, the McAllen forestmaster concentrates on every aspect of the production of selected oak barrels, ensuring that they meet the exacting standards of the master distiller and his team.After filling the casks, the distilled wine matured quietly, undisturbed, in the same oak casks for several years, until it turned into the finest of macallan's pursuits.These oak barrels make the most important contribution to the quality, natural colour and unique aroma of the finished product, which is the essence of the macallan single malt whisky.
