The story of Louis XIII also dates back to 1850, when Paul-Emile, son of the third generation of remy Martin, bought a Bottle of Renaissance Baroque style found in the ancient battlefields of Louis XIII near Jarnac. The royal lily pattern on the bottle represents the noble lintels that the bottle once belonged to the royal family.Paul-emile applied for a patent for the reproduction and named it "Louis XIII."In 1874, he registered the Sagittarius logo and the bottle already known as Louis XIII as company trademarks.This is the beginning of the era of Louis XIII!Louis thirteen wine bottles become specially used to contain remy Martin aged wine and the best quality cognac wine, Louis thirteen more became the synonym of top cognac.

由于酒窖的自然温度、湿度、采光度等对干邑的蒸发和老化过程有重要影响。因此有经验的酿酒师会观察酒的酿制程度，时而保持湿润，时而令其干燥。通过这样的贮藏法，达到干湿平衡，酿成最香最醇的陈年美酒。
