Position Title: Sales Engineer
Reports to: Regional/Area Sales Manager
Locations: Beijing/Shanghai, China
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and processing both Customer inquiry and orders. Manages all the orders following Crane standard procedures. Ensues all the projects and MROs are executed on time and at the same time meet customer satisfaction standard set by Crane.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and coach current distributors based on company regional and the distributors selling strategy.
- Collects new project and MRO information on assigned territories, analyzes the project opportunities, and identifies key project.
- Updates key project and MRO status, including but not limited to budget, schedule, and customer’s key challenges against phase review objectives in GPT/GPM. (Global Project Tracker/Global Project Management System)
- Maintains and develops customer relationship.
Prepare quotation and formal bidding by working closely with Inside Sales team and Crane Sites.
Working closely with Inside Sales team and Crane Sites to fulfill technical agreement and commercial negotiation.
- Takes an active part in various business activities of the company with team spirit. Timely reflects the feedback and information from market and makes reasonable suggestions to Area/Regional Sales Managers
- Prepares and maintains required reports and forms related to daily sales activities, correspondence, etc.
- Any other relevant sales duties on ad hoc
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years proven (successful) project sales/MRO sales/key account sales working experience related vertical industry.
- Outstanding and competitive knowledge of industry process application, valve technical background is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation capability.
- Excellent teamwork spirit

Position Title: Application Engineer
Reports to: Inside Sales Manager, CPE China
Locations: Shanghai/Beijing, China
SUMMARY:
Supply technical supports to Sales and work with sales team together to follow up sales strategy and sales metrics.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- According to technical specification, communicate with Sales and Crane sites to finalize the technical proposal
- Support the sales on technical communication with customers
- Confirm the quotation and commercial items, prepare the technical bidding documents, and assist sales on technical explanation
- Timely update project information in system and contract information in order management system
- Place the order to system according to final contract after checking the technical conditions and commercial terms, and be in charge of communication with plants about technical problems if needs
- Have over the contracts to Logistics Rep. to implement.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to degree level in a technical subject e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing
- At least 3 years related experiences
- Good command of communication skills

Position Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Reports to: Supplier Quality Manager
Locations: Beijing/Shanghai
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supplier quality related activities within the region including identifying BUs critical product characteristics, conducting supplier assessment audits, verifying suppliers control plans, managing FA process, participating in the manufacturing readiness review, conducting first batch audits and ensuring Crane required quality performance and OTD as required for ongoing production.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with BUs and suppliers identifying and addressing critical product characteristics before projects execution.
- Lead QA005 assessment audit identifying and supporting to the supplier to solve the critical or major processes non conformances as well as provide the recommendations to the regional sourcing manager and BUs.
- Work with suppliers to ensure effective FA process management including process flow chart,PFMEA,criticalprocess characteristics, control plan implementation in timely manner.
- Validat suppliers FA including verifying tooling (as applicable), identifying and solving specifications deviations, documentation and following BUs FA results.
- Ensure mass production ramp up by leading manufacturing readiness review, pilot runs and first batch inspections including track, solve and provide recommendations to the project leader about the findings.
- For ongoing production ensure acceptable quality performance by monitoring recording, managing and assess suppliers quality and delivery as required.
- Provide recommendations to the sourcing manager by identifying and implementing a quality performance program for strategic suppliers including a periodical process audit plan, supplier score card improvement program, etc.
- Mentoring and coaching the SQEs tools and approaches of solving complex or chronic quality problems, training in new quality approaches, tools and methodology as well as support strategic suppliers in then use of the latest techniques.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A university engineering degree
- Desired certification as internal quality systems and familiar with ISO standard
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent quality capability in problem solving including 8D’s, 5W’s, and core quality tools including APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.
- Qualified internal auditor of ISO9000, AS9100 or IATF16949 preferred
- Good business sense and judgment and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer and analytical skills are required (Microsoft Office software)
- Goal oriented individual with project management skills and the ability to work independently
- A team leader with strong coordination capability
- Willingness to travel including extended stays in supplier location
MINIMUM EDUCATION /
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BS degree or equivalent in engineering
- 5+ years’ work experience as SQE in multinational companies

Position Title: Regional Sourcing Manager
Reports to: VP of Sourcing
Locations: Shanghai
SUMMARY:
For assigned BU’s and commodities, develop and lead the execution of a global supply chain strategy that supports Crane’s objectives for supplier quality, delivery, cost and cash flow. This would include actions to rationalize the supply base, drive increased sourcing from lower cost sources, leverage the material spend with other Crane business units, and negotiate favorable Long Term Supplier Agreements.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain awareness of regional market and emerging material related issues in the industry and position the supply chain to flexible respond accordingly.
- Work with assigned BUs and applicable Commodity Councils to develop Global Commodity and Supplier Strategies that supports Crane’s objectives for supplier quality, delivery (OTD/Lead-time), costs and cash flow, and lead implementation of the strategies within assigned region.
- Work with assigned BUs and applicable Commodity Councils to identify and action cost savings opportunities including, alternative manufacturing processes, product redesign and / or material substitution.
Support global sourcing initiatives by identifying, qualifying, negotiating favorable commercial terms and on boarding new suppliers to meet project objectives.
- Manage ongoing supplier commercial issues including negotiating LTA, renegotiating pricing based on market conditions and managing material and FX index surcharges clauses.
- Monitor product line demand trends and new project funnels to determine required long-term supply base capacities and capabilities and take proactive action to ensure capacities and capabilities are readily available as needed.
- Monitor on-going supplier performance, support sites and SQE’s on resolving chronic supplier performance problems, revise supplier strategies and if necessary lead project/s to exit poor performing supplier.
- Monitor supplier financial health and overall business risk and proactively implement risk mitigation actions.
- Consistent with CRANE Business System, participates, facilitates, and leads Kaizen events that will eliminate waste, improve pull and one-piece flow, and deliver breakthrough results in growth, safety, quality, delivery, and cost throughout the Supply Chain.
- Engender a spirit of cooperation throughout the supply chain to insure responsiveness to the customer.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Broad knowledge of the global marketplace and manufacturing technologies for assigned commodities.
- Able to effectively navigate and work through complex situation in multi-cultural business environment
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down and across organizational lines
- Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions. Includes a strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and scheduling software.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong computer and analytical skills are required (Microsoft Office software)
- Goal oriented individual with project management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiar with die-casting, machining, metal stamping, plastic injection commodities.
- Familiar with AITF16949 requirement
- Experience with Southeast Asia industries, successful project development experience with SE Asia suppliers
MINIMUM EDUCATION /
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BA/BS or regional equivalent in engineering, business or technical discipline. An MBA is highly desired.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a global Supply Chain related role.
- Hands on experience supporting new product development projects, qualifying suppliers, qualifying products/components, verifying suppliers manufacturing readiness and ramping up volume production in the assigned region/s.
- Experienced using supplier performance management best-practices to drive supplier continues improvement.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification (black belt or green belt) is desired.
- Certification in APICS and/or ISM is desired or regional supply chain certification
- Willingness to travel 35% to 50%.
