十年来三件大事

The past decade marked three major events of great immediate importance and profound historical significance for the cause of the Party and the people:We embraced the centenary of the Communist Party of China; we ushered in a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics; and we eradicated absolute poverty and finished building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, thus completing the First Centenary Goal.

十年来，我们经历了对党和人民事业具有重大现实意义和深远历史意义的三件大事：一是迎来中国共产党成立一百周年，二是中国特色社会主义进入新时代，三是完成脱贫攻坚、全面建成小康社会的历史任务，实现第一个百年奋斗目标。

新征程

Over the past decade, we have withstood risks, challenges, andtrials in the political,economic,ideological,and natural domains,secured historic achievements and seen historic changes in thecause of the Party and the country,and taken China on a newjourney toward building a modern socialist country in all respects.

十年来，党和国家事业取得历史性成就、发生历史性变革，推动我国迈上全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程。

中国式现代化的本质要求

The essential requirements of Chinese modernization are as follows: upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China and socialism with Chinese characteristics, pursuing high-quality development, developing whole-process people's democracy, enriching the people's cultural lives, achieving common prosperity for all, promoting harmony between humanity and nature, building a human community with a shared future, and creating a new form of human advancement.

中国式现代化的本质要求是：坚持中国共产党领导，坚持中国特色社会主义，实现高质量发展，发展全过程人民民主，丰富人民精神世界，实现全体人民共同富裕，促进人与自然和谐共生，推动构建人类命运共同体，创造人类文明新形态。

两步走

To build China into a great modern socialist country in all respects,we have adopted a two-step strategic plan:

*Basically realize socialist modernization from 2020 through 2035,

*Build China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful from 2035 through the middle of this century.

全面建成社会主义现代化强国，总的战略安排是分两步走：

从二0二0年到二〇三五年基本实现社会主义现代化；

从二O三五年到本世纪中叶把我国建成富强民主文明和谐美丽的社会主义现代化强国。

坚持经济全球化

China adheres to the right course of economic globalization. It strives to promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, advance bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation, and boost international macroeconomic policy coordination. It is committed to working with other countries to foster an international environment conducive to development and create new drivers for global growth.

China is prepared to invest more resources in global development cooperation. It is committed to narrowing the North-South gap and supporting and assisting other developing countries in accelerating development.

中国坚持经济全球化正确方向，推动贸易和投资自由化便利化，推进双边、区域和多边合作，促进国际宏观经济政策协调，共同营造有利于发展的国际环境，共同培育全球发展新动能。

中国愿加大对全球发展合作的资源投入，致力于缩小南北差距，坚定支持和帮助广大发展中国家加快发展。
