原文：China Nuclear Uranium Co., Ltd., also known as CNUC and a subsidiary of the China National Nuclear Corporation and one of the leading international suppliers of natural uranium as well as a domestic provider of specialized uranium products, is making great strides in promoting high-quality sustainable development of the Rössing Uranium Mine in the African nation of Namibia.

As one of the world's primary suppliers of natural uranium, Namibia plays a key role in global nuclear energy development and CNUC attaches great importance to its mining investments and overseas layout there. In 2019 the company acquired the Rössing operation, one of the world's oldest and largest open-pit uranium mines. Since being commissioned in 1976, it has continuously increased production capacity and now ranks fourth globally, providing fuel assurance to nuclear power customers in North America, Asia and Europe.
纳米比亚是世界重要的天然铀生产国之一，为全球核能发展做出了重要贡献。中核铀业高度重视在纳米比亚的矿业投资和海外业务布局。2019年，中核铀业收购了纳米比亚罗辛铀矿。罗辛铀矿是世界上运营时间最长、规模最大的露天铀矿山之一，自1976年建成投产以来，已经连续生产47年，矿山产能规模位居全球第四，天然铀产品为北美、亚洲、欧洲等世界各地核电客户提供了燃料保障。

Since the acquisition, CNUC has focused on cross-cultural integration and adapted governance systems according to local conditions while achieving a smooth project handover and steady improvement in management.
中核铀业在成功收购罗辛铀矿后，注重跨文化融合，因地制宜完善治理体系，实现了项目平稳交接，运营管理稳步提升。
The Rössing mine's production tasks for 2020-22 exceeded targets. In 2021, it achieved its highest production of natural uranium in 11 years, meeting the needs of 14 nuclear power plants, each with a capacity of 1 million kilowatts, and earned multiple safety awards from the Chamber of Mines of Namibia.
罗辛铀矿2020-2022年生产任务超额完成，2021年罗辛铀矿天然铀产量创11年来新高，可以满足14座100万千瓦核电站的天然铀需求；安全管理稳步提升，收购后多次获得纳米比亚矿业协会颁发的年度最佳安全奖。

CNUC also supports the mine by implementing social responsibility initiatives and contributing to Namibia's industrial development, economic growth and the livelihood of its citizens. The company adheres to local operation and procurement protocols and has provided more than 2,000 jobs while benefiting thousands of upstream and downstream suppliers. In addition, it has well used the locally-established and noted public welfare platform — Rössing Fund — and strengthened cooperation with the local government and non-profit organizations. It has actively improved the quality of public facilities and enhanced public welfare. It invested more than 95 million Namibian dollars in public welfare from 2019-22 and launched activities on education, poverty alleviation, healthcare, skills training and environmental protection. It has implemented several youth entrepreneurship support projects and promoted locally social and economic development.
中核铀业支持罗辛铀矿履行社会责任，为纳米比亚产业发展、经济增长和民生改善作出积极贡献。一是坚持本地化运营和采购，为当地提供2000多个就业岗位，并惠及上下游供应商共计上万人；二是用好用足在当地设立的知名公益事业平台——罗辛基金会，加强与当地政府、非盈利机构合作，积极改善公共设施质量，提高社会福祉，2019-2022年共投入超9500万纳元公益资金，同时开展教育、减贫、医疗、技能培训和环境保护等活动，实施多项青年创业扶持项目，促进当地社会经济发展。
The company has also collaborated with various sectors to combat COVID-19, donating oxygen stations, protective clothing and other materials with a total value exceeding 6 million Namibian dollars.
中核铀业还携手各界共同抗击新冠疫情，先后捐赠制氧站、防护服等防疫物资，累计金额超600万纳元。
CNUC is bolstering sustainable growth of the Rössing mine by combining resource development with cutting-edge technologies. The fourth-phase development and construction of the mine is now in full swing for a smooth transition from its existing mining beds.
中核铀业支持罗辛铀矿可持续发展，通过科技创新推进后续资源开发；系统推进四期开发建设与现有矿床开发有序接替。
The Rössing mine upgraded and transformed mining and processing technology, studied and applied heap leaching techniques, and collaboratively developed with surrounding uranium resources projects, such as Langer Heinrich, where CNUC holds 25 percent of stocks, and Happy Valley, where the company holds 58 percent of stocks. A large scale has thus been formed. By the end of 2030, the Rössing mine's annual production of natural uranium is to reach 4,500 tons of U3O8.
罗辛铀矿开展采冶技术升级改造，堆浸技术研究及工业应用，统筹与兰杰•海因里希 (Langer Heinrich)（中核铀业持有25%股权）、欢乐谷(Happy Valley)（中核铀业持有58%股权）等周边铀矿项目协同开发，形成规模效应。到2030年末，天然铀产量将达到4500吨U3O8/年。
CNUC has fully exploited the scientific study advantages of its engineering technology research and development center in Namibia and conducted extensive studies on the Rössing mine and surrounding uranium resources. It continued to expand resources and increase reserves on the basis that thick and large orebodies were discovered in 2022-23.
中核铀业充分发挥中核集团纳米比亚工程技术研发中心的科研平台优势，组织开展罗辛铀矿及外围资源扩大研究，在2022-2023年已钻探发现厚大铀矿体基础上，继续扩大资源，增加储量。
Looking into the future, CNUC will hold the concept of human community with a shared future and actively implement global development initiatives. It will gain a foothold in Namibia and develop the Rössing mine into a model for Sino-Namibian cooperation under the BRI, and further expand Namibia's natural uranium industry.
