5月16日下午15:30，青岛红狮迎来2021赛季中乙联赛首场比赛，在泸西高原足球基地3号场地对阵延边龙鼎。最终经过90分钟的较量，青岛红狮0:0战平延边龙鼎。

At 15:30 pm on May 16th, the Qingdao Red Lions had the first match of the 2021 Season China League Two, playing against Yanbian Longding on the No. 3 field of the Luxi Plateau Football Base. After 90 minutes of the game, Qingdao Red Lions drew 0:0 with Yanbian Longding.

本场比赛，青岛红狮主教练劳尔·卡内特排出了4-3-3的阵型，主力门将刘畅首发出场，四后卫分别为宋华、王浩、张振、苗华旭；中场位置由老将连琛搭档王新宇和邓雨浓，三名锋线球员分别为李俞秋、张宗正、张华楠。

In this game, Qingdao Red Lions coach Raul Canet arranged a 4-3-3 formation. The goalkeeper Liu Chang started the game. 上半场比赛开始后，两队都踢的非常积极主动，防守也是相对严密，比赛前20分钟双方都没有获得太多的机会。第27分钟，11号邓雨浓中路突破后远射，皮球被门将扑出。第31分钟，17号连琛快发边线球，29号张宗正背身拿球后转身过掉防守队员，面对门将一脚低射，可惜皮球被门将挡出，错失破门良机。半场比赛结束，双方暂时0:0战平。

下半场开始后，青岛红狮率先进行换人调整，换下7号李俞秋，换上46号苏镇群。随着比赛的深入，青岛红狮逐渐掌握场上主动，不断对对方球门发起冲击，第67分钟，8号王新宇在两名对手的防守下突破传中，禁区内29号张宗正起身侧凌空打门，可惜皮球没有吃准发力部位。第80分钟，青岛红狮在对方禁区内制造混乱，但并未破门得分。第87分钟，12号罗昊累积两张黄牌被罚下场，在少打一人的情况下持续组织进攻，最终全场战罢，青岛红狮0:0与对手握手言和。
