12月12日下午14:00，青岛红狮迎来2021赛季中乙联赛与中冠联赛附加赛第二轮，在盐城昱丰足球训练基地1号场对阵淄博齐盛。最终经过90分钟的较量，凭借连琛的两粒进球，青岛红狮2:1取得比赛胜利。在两回合的附加赛中，青岛红狮以4:2的总比分完成保级任务。

本场比赛，青岛红狮主教练李毅男排出了4-2-3-1的阵型，门将刘畅首发出场，四后卫分别为张振、王浩、赵远、旷钧天；凌龙、鲁毅搭档双后腰，前卫线为宋华、连琛、张华楠，张宗正出任中锋位置。

赛后，青岛红狮主教练李毅男表示，过去一个多月的时间里，整个教练组和球队都承担了很大的压力，感谢各位球员和各位同事不轻言放弃，是大家的团结一致帮助球队实现了保级。单就这两场附加赛而言，在比赛之前球队面临着许多的困难，但是我们的教练组对这两场比赛做了充足的准备，我们充分的信任每一个球员，当然，球员们也用比赛中的表现回馈了这一份信任。最终以4:2的比分取得胜利是大家共同努力的结果。
