The language of Silicon Valley is jargon-laden enough to justify such a lexicon for the uninitiated. As the authors note， “the regions unique business culture seems to breed new words—cool， geeky and often inane words.” And all those new words often serve to create “an aura of impenetrability.”

Some of the lingo puts a positive spin on the scarce resources available to most new startups. The resulting lexical stew is at once inventive and perplexing， so a guide is most welcome - at least until the next batch of trendy words bubbles up.
