In many parts of the world, schools are focusing on math, science and language, and in many cases, neglecting art. As a global manufacturer we can understand the value of a technical education but we also strongly believe that humans need art.

So, with schools regularly handing out awards for top marks in math and composition and seldom recognizing the talent and creativity of young artists, we decided to do something on our own and hold an art contest for the children of our employees.

在世界上许多地方，学校把重点放在数学、科学和语言上，在许多情况下，忽视了艺术教育。作为一家全球安全帽制造商，我们可以理解技术教育的价值，但我们也坚信人类也需要艺术陶冶。

因此，在学校定期为数学和语言的高分颁发奖项时，却很少认可年轻艺术家的天赋和创造力的情况下，我们决定自己做点什么，为我们员工的孩子举办一场艺术比赛。

“My own daughter Serena has chosen to be an artist,” said Norman Cheng, Strategic Sports Managing Director. “Some say that a parent shouldn’t encourage their children in such endeavors, which might not lead to a lucrative career path, but I feel that what every parent wishes is for their children to be happy,” Cheng said, “And if our children are happy pursuing art, then by all means, let's support that.”

“我自己的女儿Serena已经选择成为一名艺术爱好者，”韬略集团郑董说。“有人说父母不应该鼓励孩子这样做，因为这可能不会给他们带来好的职业生涯，但我觉得每个父母都希望他们的孩子快乐，”郑董说，“如果我们的孩子快乐地追求艺术，那么无论如何，我们都应该支持他们。”

For years, Strategic Sports has held an art contest for the kids of our employees. The contests were paused during the COVID years but we’re proud to announce the relaunch of this tradition. By encouraging young minds to focus on their artistic efforts, we’re also building the next generation of designers and graphic artists whose creativity makes the world—including industrial pursuits like helmets—more beautiful and pleasing to the eye.

“And who knows,” Cheng said, “Maybe the next Leonardo Da Vinci or Vivienne Tam is right here with us.”
